Northern Policy Institute is Northern Ontario’s independent think tank. We perform research, collect and disseminate evidence, and identify policy opportunities to support the growth of sustainable Northern Ontario communities.

Northern Policy Institute is seeking a Data Analyst to be based in our Sudbury office. The Data Analyst will play a central role in developing and delivering on the policy and research priorities of NPI. Solid analytical and writing skills are a must. Knowledge of and experience with private and public data sets is essential as are skills and experience with data presentation and analysis using tools like Excel, SPSS, R, or Stata.
While analysts with particular expertise are most welcome, an inter-disciplinary approach and the capacity to work across subject areas is expected and required. Masters level training is preferred, but university or college graduates with some practical experience will be considered. Bilingualism would be an advantage. Multilingualism, or a special knowledge of Northern Ontario would also be assets.
