Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in the position of a Quality Assurance Specialist.

In this role, you will be responsible for the evaluation of effectiveness and continuous improvement of services for Maamwesying, North Shore Community Health Services Inc.
-You will be required to review and investigate age appropriate evidence-based best practices and assist in planning to implement these practices.
-You will draft policies and procedures utilizing program evaluations, audits and community feedback - while ensuring practices, programs and services are in alignment with the strategic planning and community development initiatives, policies and procedures federal and provincial policies, regulations, legislation and funding arrangements.

Our many health centres are located throughout the Northern Ontario region from Atikameksheng, Massey, Thessalon, Sault Ste. Marie to Chapleau and this position would require some travel. Office location within the Maamwesying territory to be determined in collaboration with the successful applicant.

Required Skills:
•Honors Bachelor of Social Work (HBSW) or related degree
•Member of Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
•Minimum two (2) years quality assurance and administration experience within a First Nation Organization
•Experience in conducting community engagement surveys
•Experience in policy development and audit of programs
•Excellent presentation skills
•Knowledge of First Nation service delivery, customs and traditions
•Knowledge of external services and service agencies
•Must possess excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
•Strong knowledge and proficient in the use of computers and various software applications,
•Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
•A clear criminal reference check is a condition of employment
•Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
