Job Description:
Algoma Chrysler is seeking a dedicated, attentive, and proficient Automotive Parts and Counter Associate to provide exceptional technical and customer support working in our Service Department at our Spragge location. As a Parts and Counter Associate at Algoma Chrysler, you will play a crucial role in customer experience by providing correct and proper parts to our technicians who determine vehicle maintenance requirements, providing accurate parts repair recommendations to customers and maintaining an accurate parts count of inventory.

To succeed in this role, you should be physically and mentally fit and have a solid knowledge of basic mechanics' tools, services, and diagnostic equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Job Type: Permanent; Full-Time
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
Wage: To be discussed at time of interview

Responsibilities
- Review work orders and discuss work directly with the Service Manager
- Advise customers on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future parts repair requirements if necessary
- Maintain accurate accounting of parts inventory and ordering
- Order specialty parts as per customer requests

Required Skills:
- Proven experience in Automotive sector and willing to learn
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, components, and repair techniques
- Critical thinking, attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
- The ability to interpret technical terms to customers is considered an asset
- Proficient in interacting with customer in person and over the phone
- Proficient with computers, MS Office Programs and inventory management programs
- Able to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Drivers License
- The ability to operate vehicles with a manual transmission is regarded as an asset but not required
Requirements:
Experience
- A provincially recognized Automotive Parts and Service Essentials Certificate (Preferred but not required)
- 1 + years of experience in Automotive Repair is considered an asset
- 1+ years working in the Automotive Industry is preferred but not required
